Invites you to participate in national selection for “Voices of the Future” youth program that will be held in the frames of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in November 2011, Hawaii, United States.

Annual “Voices of the Future” youth program has the 11-year history. It gives young representatives of member economies from Asia-Pacific Region the unique chance to represent their countries during APEC Summit. The program provides the platform for youth delegations from different countries for expressing their opinions about processes that take place in Asia-Pacific Region to the participants of APEC Summit. Also, young leaders have an opportunity to communicate with leading politicians and business representatives.

The national selection will be held in two rounds. During the first round, citizens of Russian Federation under the age of 18-25 years who has the desire to become the participants of the program should submit the application form completed in English. The deadline for submitting of the application form is June 12, 2011. During the work of expert commission the 21 authors of the best applications will be given the admission to participate in the second round. The winners of the first round will be announced not later that June 25, 2011.

The second round will be held in Vladivostok in the format of APEC conference from September 1-4, 2011. During debates the participants will demonstrate their diplomacy skills, great knowledge of all processes that are held in the Asia-Pacific Region, and the level of English. The 7 winners of the conference will be given the credentials to represent the Russian Federation as a part of youth delegation during “Voices of the Future” program.

The transportation costs are supposed to be covered by sending university.

Requirements for the participants:

-Citizens of Russian Federation underthe age of 18-25;

-Valid foreign passport with expirationdate not earlier than on the 29th of March 2012;

-The possibility to take part in theconference in Vladivostok from the 1st of till the 4th ofSeptember;

Required knowledge, skills andpersonal qualities:

-Fluent English;

-Diplomatic and leadership skills;

-The basic knowledge of economical, geopolitical,political and cultural processes in Asia-Pacific Rim;

-High level of responsibility;

-Teamwork skills;

-Effective communication skills;

-The possibility to work in stressfulsituation;

-The readiness to have distancepreparation before the trip to “APEC Voices of the Future 2011” youth program.
