Irkutsk MUN club was organized on 8 of March, 2008 after Spring-2008 Model UN Master Classes conducted by Zakhar Ivanisov (Managing Director), Eduard Romanenko (Assistant Managing Director) and Varvara Soldatkina (Assis-tant Managing Director). Irkutsk MUN club was held at Baikal State University of Economics and Law. At that time there were 29 members in the club. Yulia Elfi-mova was elected as the first President of IrkMUN. The club actively worked for about two months preparing for the 3rd IT conference in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. Unfortunately, the participation was cancelled because of financial problems. Un-der those circumstances the club was disintegrated.

On 3-5 of March, 2009 the second series of Master Classes were conducted in the city of Irkutsk by Zakhar Ivanisov (Managing Director), Evgeniy Palkin and Ann Samoilenko (members of working group from Blago and Vladivostok MUN clubs). After that activity of Irkutsk MUNRFE club was renewed. Now the club consists of 17 members. The President is Yulia Elfimova as before.

On 21-23 of March, 2009 two members of Irkutsk MUN club – Ekaterina Garmaeva (Vice-President) and Darya Babaeva visited XV President Council where the roadmap for the club development was elaborated.
