Vladivostok MUNRFE club members will remember January the 13th as a smiling day. It was the first day of implementation of the “Smile” project for which the club has received IREX’s support. Irina Fedorenko with the team of brave volunteers were working hard in order to bring the feast to the children from Vladivostok hospice “Parus Nadezhdi”.

“Parus Nadezhdi” is a place for childrenwho are having difficult life situation or have lost their parents, but they are very friendly and intelligent and were very glad to meet MUNRFE members. On the day of the “Old New Year” in Russia, VladMUN volunteers came to the children in order to introduce to them different traditions of New Year celebration in the World.

Children have traveled to Mexico, Finland, Russia, China and France with their international passports full of interesting facts about the countries. In each country children learnt about New Year traditions and completed different tasks. And in the end of the travel there was the big quiz: children were answering tricky questions and getting presents. So everybody has got not only souvenirs and toys but also new knowledge and great mood for the holidays.

In the end there was a photo session, pictures from which will be delivered to the children during the next visit of VladMUN volunteers, which will be very soon.
