World Bank Sectors

For a structured organization of work, the projects of the World Bank are divided into sectors. Totally, there are 11 sectors in the WB, which correspond to certain topics and have specific themes.

At the MUNRFE Annual Conference 2020 these themes are united in 4 wider sectors that will be considered at the Conference:

(1) Industry, Trade and Agriculture (including also fishing, forestry, energy, and mining);

(2) Infrastructure (including information and communications, transportation, water, sanitation, and flood protection);

(3) Human Services (including public administration, law and justice, education, health, and other services);

(4) Finance (corresponding to the actual WB sector).

Sectors at the World Bank simulation are equal to agenda items in other committees. After the registration, delegates will be able to apply for preferable sectors in accordance with the interests of their states. As a result, delegates who represent donors will receive three sectors to invest money to, while recipients will present their projects only in one of the sectors. Before the application process starts, check the list of sectors and start your research on policy of an assigned state to choose a correct direction of your further work.
